Wagtails 17/10/22

Last week was a super busy week here in Wagtails Class. The children have been practising to use the tweezers to help develop their fine motor skills for writing, what a tricky challenge! The Wagtails have also been developing their new phonetic knowledge by practising to build CVC words, using objects and magnetic letters. They have been experts in using their robotic arms to help segment the sounds in the words. In RE, we are looking at 'Special Me' and in particular our similarities and differences. We have very much enjoyed celebrating these as a class, this has prompted wonderful discussions. The children have enjoyed looking closely at their features and have even have had a go at drawing half of their faces. The glitter trays for name writing practice have been a real hit with the children this week and they have done a fantastic job at practising their letter formation. The classroom has been so sparkly from the glitter, Christmas may have just come early!
