Ste Club: This week we carried out a 'travelling water' experiment. The children used; coloured water, empty jars and paper towels. They watched closely as the coloured water travelled up the paper towels and into empty jars. The children were fascinated by this. This experiment offered a fantastic opportunity for colour mixing. We had so much fun predicting what colours would be created when two different primary colours are mixed together.
The children have also been developing their scientific vocabulary and they have learnt that the science magic in this experiment is called 'capillary action'. They have also learnt the meaning of the words 'dilute' and 'absorb'. We were so impressed with these little scientists this week, well done everyone. Mrs Slade and Mrs White :)
