What a super first week back Goldfinch class have had. The children have returned to school really settled and working hard.
In maths we have been busy adding and subtracting. We have looked at different ways to do this and focussed a lot on using a number line to count backwards. In English we have been recapping basic punctuation and practising writing our capital letters, to make sure that we write our sentences correctly.
In Science we have continued to look at absorb and waterproof. We created a picture using wax crayons and watercolour paints. We discussed that the wax was waterproof and would not let the paint through.
We have started a DT project where we are learning about structures. We are going to be making a windmill structure. We started this week by designing our windmill for a client. Our client is a mouse so we had to make the home suitable for them.
We have also started to practise our nativity, acting and singing the songs. A good start so far.
