We have had a fabulous first week back here in Wagtails. The children have worked so hard and have been real superstars!
This week, we have been busy creating fabulous fireworks pictures and making our own fireworks which we have hung from our classroom ceiling. We have even watched a brilliant fireworks display on our board. I spoke to the children about safety when around fireworks and they could recall some ways in which they can keep themselves safe.
In phonics, we have finished our phase 2 teaching of sounds and tricky words and we will begin phase 3 next week. Well done Wagtails, you are doing so well with your phonics!
We have also been promoting our fine motor skills and have been hammering golf tees into pumpkins. This was a huge hit with the children.
In maths, we have been looking at the numbers 0,1,2 and 3 in different contexts and have been looking at ways in which we can represent these numbers.
I am so proud of you all for another fabulous week of fun and learning at school. Well done, Wagtails, have a lovely weekend. Mrs Slade
