A fantastic week in Goldfinch class, busy doing lots of exciting things.
In history we pretended that we were like Mary Anning and did some fossil hunting. We had to match the fossil to the dinosaur. We also looked at what tools fossil hunters used in the past and compared this to what they use now. We also started to look at what dinosaurs were alive in the three different time periods.
In English we have been looking at rhyming poems and performing them.
In maths we have continued to look at fractions and finding fractions of amounts. We have done really well.
In music we continued understanding pitch. In DT we started a textile project. We have designed our own pouches and used templates to cut them out of felt. We are going to be sewing our pouches together using a running stitch.
In RE this week we tasted some apple and honey like the Jewish people sometimes eat.
