This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers.

1:1 Teaching Assistant

At King Ina Church of England Academy we are looking for a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to work 21.25 hours per week, 11am to 3:15pm Monday to Friday, 1:1 with a pupil with an Education Health Care Plan/Additional Needs. A job share is offered, as below:
- 10hrs per week, Monday to Friday, 11am – 1pm
- 11.25hrs per week, Monday to Friday, 1pm – 3:15pm
The post requires experience of supporting learning across the curriculum and supporting pupils with their social, emotional and mental health needs.
You will:
- Be a reflective practitioner
- Be solution-focused and positive in meeting the social and emotional needs of our young people and open to innovative ways of working
- Have the ability, drive and resilience to nurture the emotional health and well-being of young people

At King Ina Church of England Academy we are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Early Years Assistant to join our highly qualified team, working under the direction of the Foundation Stage Leader, Owlets Manager and Deputy.
Qualification requirement: The successful candidate will have a minimum Level 2 qualification, working towards Level 3 will be considered, as well as experience of working in a nursery.
You will be required to work as part of the Early Years team to provide safe, high quality child care and education by providing challenging and engaging activities.
Responsibilities will include being a key person, therefore applicants must have:
- Good working knowledge of the EYFS
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Flexible approach
