The Directors of King Ina Church of England Academy are seeking to appoint a committed and experienced Year 6 Teacher who is dynamic, enthusiastic and creative, for our thriving academy from January 2025.  This is an exciting time to join our academy as we expand our provision to include an on-site Forest School and roll out the OPAL scheme (Outdoor Play And Learning).

 

This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers.

 

The successful candidates will:

 

  • Have a thorough knowledge of the primary curriculum and a wide range of teaching strategies
  • Have knowledge and experience of teaching Year 6 in Key Stage 2
  • Have high expectations of pupils to ensure they reach their potential
  • Be creative in their approach to teaching and learning
  • Be committed to collaborative learning and ongoing professional development
  • Be supportive of the Academy’s approach to supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs

Lunchtime Supervisor

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Lunchtime Supervisor to join our existing team.

 

The successful candidates will be required to ensure pupils’ safety and well-being at all times and to adhere to school procedures and policies.  The role will involve assisting with meal times and supervising children during play times, facilitating a safe, healthy and happy lunchtime for our pupils.

 

Permanent Position

Part Time, Term Time Only

 

3 hours per week: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 12 noon to 1pm

 

Pay Grade 16, Scale Point 2 @ £12.26 per hour + holiday pay

1:1 SEND Early Years Assistant

 Dates:                    Apply by pm Monday, 6th January 2025

Location:                Somerton, Somerset

Contract type:        Part Time, term time only

13 hours per week: Monday and Tuesday
8:30am – 3:30pm (with unpaid 30mins break for lunch each day)

Contract term:        Temporary

Salary:                    Grade 16 Point 2 (pro rata based on a Full Time Equivalent salary of

                               £23,656)

  

At King Ina Church of England Academy we are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Early Years Assistant to join our highly qualified team, working one to one with a child with Special Educational Needs. Our new team member will work under the direction of the Foundation Stage Leader, Owlets Manager and Deputy.

 

Qualification requirement:  The successful candidate will have a Level 3 qualification, and SEN experience would be desirable but not essential.

 

You will be required to work as part of the Early Years team to provide safe, high quality child care and education by providing challenging and engaging activities.

 

Responsibilities will include being a key person, therefore applicants must have:

 

  • Good working knowledge of the EYFS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Flexible approach
