Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Salary:                         Grade 12 Point 12 - 19

At King Ina C of E Academy, we are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to lead and support the learning within our academy.  You will be required to support the learning environment and the delivery of lessons through work set by teachers and prepared by yourself.  

 

This rewarding role will suit someone with experience of working with a range of young people and who has knowledge of different teaching styles to engage all students.  You will possess a working knowledge of school pastoral systems and be highly motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

 

You will:

  •          Be required to support the learning environment and the delivery of lessons through work set by teachers.
  •          Be a reflective practitioner
  •          Be prepared to work across different age groups
  •          Be solution focused and positive in meeting the social and emotional needs of our young people and open to innovative ways of working
  •          Have the ability, drive and resilience to nurture the emotional health and well-being of young people
  •          Contribute to resourcing of the curriculum
  •          Organise and run intervention programmes
  •          Teach lessons across the whole curriculum
  •          Have successful experience in a school setting

SEND Teaching Assistant positions

Salary:                    Grade 15 Point 3 – 4 depending on experience

       (pro rata, based on Full Time Equivalent salary range £24,796 - £25,185)

 

At King Ina Church of England Academy we are looking for SEND Teaching Assistants to work 1:1 with pupils with an Education Health Care Plan.

 

The post requires experience of supporting learning across the curriculum and supporting pupils with their social, emotional and mental health needs.

 

Post A:

5 afternoons per week, 1pm – 3:15pm Monday to Friday

 

Post B:

4 afternoons per week, 1pm – 3:15pm (days TBC)

 

Post C:

4 days per week, 8:50am – 3:15pm (with an unpaid 1hr break for lunch each day) Tuesday to Friday

 

You will:

Forest School Lead

King Ina Academy Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Forest School Lead to join our positive and supportive team. The successful candidate will be passionate about outdoor learning and possess the motivation and teamwork skills necessary to inspire our students across Reception, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, as well as leading sessions for our pupils with additional needs

 

The successful candidate will:

seek to develop emotional resilience, personal and social pupil skills including but not limited to, raising self-esteem, assessing & managing risk, and developing teamwork and leadership skills. This will be achieved through a varied programme such as: · Team building activities · Forest school based activities · Any other activities personalised to the pupil interests and developmental needs

 

We are looking for someone who:

 

  •          Has a Level 3 Forest School qualification
  •          Is creative and fun.
  •          Has the ability to build positive relationships and inspire pupils.
  •          Has excellent communication, both written and verbally.
  •          Has a good understanding of the current statutory and regulatory guidelines related to outdoor learning.
  •          Can be encouraging and adaptable, so all of our pupils participate with forest school activities.
  •          Plans a range of age appropriate outdoor activities including games and crafts.
  •          Can ensure Health & Safety requirements are met.
  •          Has a positive approach to behaviour support, viewing all behaviours as communication.

Lunchtime Supervisor / Play Worker

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Lunchtime Supervisor / Play Worker to join our existing team.

 

The successful candidates will be required to ensure pupils’ safety and well-being at all times and to adhere to school procedures and policies.  The role will involve assisting with meal times and supervising children during play times, facilitating a safe, healthy and happy lunchtime for our pupils.

 

Permanent Position

Part Time, Term Time Only

 

3 hours per week: Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, 12 noon to 1pm

 

Pay Grade 16, Scale Point 2 @ £12.65 per hour + holiday pay
