SIAMS (church school inspection)

Friday 24th April 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to share with you the outcome of our recent SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspection. We are incredibly proud of the report, which recognises the many strengths of our school community and reflects the hard work, care and commitment shown by our children, staff and families every day.

The inspection highlights that King Ina Church of England Academy “is living up to its foundation as a Church school and is enabling pupils and adults to flourish.” This reflects our shared vision:

“Let your light shine” (Matthew 5:14–16)

Inspectors recognised that our vision is truly at the heart of everything we do, noting leaders’ “unwavering commitment to the Christian vision… [which] shapes the school’s character and daily practice.” They also highlighted our “culture of compassion and support” where “pupils and adults thrive.” In addition, collective worship was praised as “thoughtfully and effectively structured,” enabling pupils to reflect deeply and grow spiritually.

The report also specifically recognises the impact of leadership, noting the “wholehearted commitment demonstrated by leaders… to living the vision [which] enables pupils and adults to flourish.” This highlights the dedication of our leaders in ensuring that every decision is rooted in what is best for the children and the whole school community.

These comments show what a caring, supportive and aspirational environment our school is, and how well our children and staff work together to live out these values each day. Overall, the report celebrates our school as a place where children are happy, work hard and support one another, enabling everyone to flourish.

As with any inspection, there are also areas identified for development. We welcome these next steps and are already working on how we can build on our strong foundations.

Thank you for your continued support and for playing such an important role in making our school such a special place where every child can truly “let their light shine.”

Best wishes
