Higher Level Teaching Assistant for KS2

Location:                Somerton, Somerset

Contract type:        Part time, term time only

                              13.25 Hours per week, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 1pm - 3:45pm

                               and Thursday 9:45am – 3:45pm (inc. 1hr unpaid lunch break)

                               If required, flexibility around working days/hours would be considered.

Contract term:        Permanent

Salary:                    Grade 13 Point 6 – 11 (£19,171 - £21,166 pro rata)

 

 

At King Ina Academy we are looking for a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant for KS2 to lead and support the learning within our academy.  You will be required to support the learning environment and the delivery of lessons through work set by teachers and prepared by yourself.

 

This rewarding role will suit someone with experience of working with a range of young people and who has knowledge of different teaching styles to engage all students.  You will have a working knowledge of school pastoral systems and be highly motivated with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.

 

You will:

 

  •          Be a reflective practitioner
  •          Be prepared to work across different age groups
  •          Have the ability to be creative, developing relevant educational programmes for our young people
  •          Be solution focused and positive in meeting the social and emotional needs of our young people and open to innovative ways of working
  •          Organise and run intervention programmes
  •          Teach lessons across the whole curriculum

Lunchtime Supervisor/s – Casual Position/s across both sites

 

We are looking for enthusiastic Casual/Relief Lunchtime Supervisor/s to join our existing teams across both the Infant and Junior Sites.

 

The successful candidate/s will be required to ensure pupils’ safety and well-being at all times and to adhere to school procedures and policies.  The role will involve assisting with meal times and supervising children during play times.

 

Due to the nature of this position, you will often be asked if you are available to work at short notice. 

 

Session times are as follows:

Infants:          12noon – 1pm

Juniors:   12 noon – 1:30pm

 

Pay Grade 17 Point 1 (£9 + 12.1% holiday pay per hour)
