Wagtail Class 19/04/2024

It has been a great first week back here in Wagtail Class. The children have settled back into their routines beautifully. This week we have been looking at the story, 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. The children have loved sequencing the story and collaging their own butterflies. We have also had a special delivery of caterpillars. We will be looking after these and observing these over the coming weeks until they change into butterflies. The Wagtails will be creating their very own caterpillar diaries.

In RE, we have looked at 'Our World' and all of the wonderful things within it. The children enjoyed watching a lovely video about some amazing animals in 'Our World'. They then drew these and attempted to write about them. In Maths, we have been looking at the numbers, '10, 11 and 12' and how we can represent these using objects. We have had some super accurate counting this week.

We have also enjoyed celebrating two birthdays. Well-done on a super first week back at school. You have all worked so hard. Have a lovely weekend, from Mrs Slade
