Wagtail Class 10/03/2023

We have had another smashing week here in Wagtail Class. This week we have been learning all about minibeasts. The children really enjoyed going on a bug hunt around the school grounds with their magnifying glasses and bug catchers.

In Literacy, we have been looking at the story; 'Norman the Slug with the Silly Shell'. The children have had lots of fun being creative and making their very own Norman the slug.

In Maths, the children have been consolidating their knowledge of 'pairs' and have enjoyed pairing Mrs Slade's socks on the washing line. The children have also been learning how to combine two groups of objects. They have used dice to support this new skill and have even had a go at writing some addition number sentences.

This term, we are also learning about the life cycle of a caterpillar to a butterfly and our caterpillars have arrived. The children have been so excited about this and I am sure they will thoroughly enjoy observing them as they grow and change. Today, we also started our first diary entry. Well done Wagtail Class on another fabulous week. Have a lovely weekend
